What you're looking at is lucite artwork from the W hotel in Times Square. I didn't look quite like this at first, but once I played with it I realized that it's possible that the artist was trying to create the layers of the skyline. I'd taken one shot with no flash and it appeared somewhat flat. The one with flash sparkled so I desaturated the hot pink from the background to make it look like towers rising above the streetscape.
