      Nice timing!

umm, when the weapon fires 550 rounds a minute, it's not timing, you take a pic, you're gonna get muzzle blast. and if you look close, there's a blank adapter on the end of the weapon. as it says, it's an "exercise"

...I picked up on the 'blank adapter device' on the end of the muzzel also.

Good thing he is wearing goggles that muzzle flash is blindingly bright.

Tatsu* That blank adapter you picked up is most likely due to the fact that it's training. I think the photo is fantastic, and am glad that the Army is getting back to basics by training for large scale confrontations.

@texan1ct ...by using blank adapter's on the weapons..it sure cuts down on the 'friendly fire' mishaps.

Man he has a lot of flash out of the mussel of his AR/17rifle.If I seen that much flash in a war exercises he would be in real big trouble.Really big trouble if the guy on the other side had a Remington 700 308cal sniper rifle M/14 sniper rifle.Lucky it is only a exercise.Maybe they need to use some other flash mussel system.
