    Soldiers participating in the toxic industrial chemical protection and detection equipment training, use an Ahura Scientific FirstDefender to identify chemical agents, Nov. 18, at Fort Hood, Texas. The handheld device uses Raman spectroscopy to identify a wide variety of chemical substances, from common household items to deadly industrial toxins.
