Morning Light. Fall Colors. Canon T4i.
Lighting this morning was perfect—bringing out the brilliant warm colors from the leaves and foliage around campus.
I couldn't resist, so, I took a few minutes walking around and snapping photos using Canon T4i and Tamron 17-50 f/2.8SP Di II lens. Having used mostly my personal Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8 lens, I was never that impressed with the Tamron. It's cheaply made, and focusing is really LOUD.
Now that I no longer have the Canon lens, I've been shooting with the Tamron. My opinion has changed now that I've had a chance to shoot with it extensively. Yes, it's still feels cheap and focus noise is still loud—but, the image quality is quite excellent for a lens, half the price of the Canon equivalent. With a little bit of post-processing, I am more than satisfied with the results I am getting.
