spinning fine kid mohair from the lock.


scoured in lock formation, attenuated sideways until a long strip is formed with most of fibers still parallel to one another as in the lock. taking one end of the "roving" and spinning as if it were being spun from the fold (the middle of the lock is where the twist is inserted) so that the tip and butt ends are free to poke out of the single... I want a very fuzzy, light, halo-y single. held very lightly in the fiber hand to further allow air in the core.
