Macro Mondays - "Black"
This week's theme of black was much harder than I anticipated. I had plenty of ideas but the execution of them was really hard. This is probably technically the hardest Macro Monday I've done. I ended up having to use a tripod with a long exposure and very, very careful use of lighting. Technical details are below for anyone interested!
This picture is of a black Swarovski crystal viewed from above, directly over the centre of the crystal. Although black is a non-colour and doesn't either reflect or emit light the cut of this crystal results in light being reflected from it's surfaces giving the appearance of many shades and colours.
