This is a tiny 35mm crop of a 4x5" negative (I laid an empty 35mm slide frame onto the neg to frame it on the scanner.) That's one of the great things about large format - you can discover things in the detail that you don't even realise are there. As I was checking over the negative with a loupe I realised I loved the tones in this small part, so thought I'd scan it.
Why the colour? No idea; I just set the scanner to scan it in colour instead of greyscale and this is the colour it came out! I rather like it, so I'm leaving it that way.
