Thank you ALL so much for your advice on acclimating My two tom's . ;) I purchased one Feliway so far and put all of the other suggestions into play. Yes, Time and patience. ;)
Today Magoo was playing w/ two of Maria's catnip toys . ( he loves them Thank you Maria!!! Check them out! :) www.flickr.com/photos/sunstones/2118083627/ )
Tre walked into the dog crate and they could see each other through a hole in the blankets. Magoo was pawing inside , i do think in a playful way. Tre did not know what to make of it. When Tre exited the cage Magoo bolted w/ a slight pounce out from the side of the cage. LOL! Tre sat back like " what the! " Maybe Magoo will be teaching Tre how to play w/ inside toys . ;)
On a pretty scary note, I made a HUGE mistake the other night. I had left the sliding door open for Tre to go outside and do his thing. Thinking Magoo has not even attempted to come down or near the stairs i thought all was safe. NEVER take things for granted. Before i knew it Magoo was peeking around the bottom of the stairs and flew out the door!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can only imagine the horror and guilt i felt. I ended up having to put Tre in his room and close the door, ( because he wouldn't let him back in the house) And then it took until 1 am before Magoo came back inside for food at which time i had to sneak out the front door and close the sliding door. Needless to say he was less than Happy. He is terrified of the TV so i had to turn it off so he could find his way back to his room. I have learned my lesson.
