Homelessness Here, Lake Stevens
With regional counts of people without homes showing sharp increases, Sno-Isle Libraries is hosting “Homelessness Here,” four public discussions in 2017 to explore the causes and prevention of the problem in Snohomish and Island counties. More than 100 people attended the Jan. 26 Issues That Matter forum in the Lake Stevens School District administrative center.

Panelists were Kristen Cane, director of development and policy, Housing Authority of Snohomish County; Julio Cortes, public relations manager, Cocoon House; Seanna Herring-Jensen, program manager at the Arlington Community Resource Center, Lake Stevens Family Center and Granite Falls Family Support Center. The moderator was Lake Stevens Mayor John Spencer.
