Kinver Edge - painting on linen canvas
This painting was inspired by a place I often visit called Kinver Edge. There is a lovely woodland there, which I find very inspiring. This piece is loosely based on this photo, taken nearly a year ago.
To create this artwork, I've used a mixture of acrylics and copper-coloured poster paint, on a linen canvas measuring 20cm (8") high by 25.5cm (10") wide. I have not painted the whole canvas, therefore allowing the natural colour of the linen to show through. The earthy tones of the paints I have used compliment this natural colouring. These paints continue over the sides of the canvas, so that this painting does not need to be framed.
