We Will Always Have Addition
OK, here it goes: I was working at the computer, looked to my right and the calculator caught my eye . . . I thought, "what if the numbers weren't so organized" (thought courtesy of my "what if" part of the brain), so I proceeded to disassemble, taking care not to kill the calculator, and reassemble with the symbols placed thoughtful-ratically to create disorganization; one thing that stood was the "plus" sign, it could be replaced, but would mean that something somewhere would be missing. Ultimately this is an image of: Technology = Change, constant change, even in language (imho) and with change, we can move forward . . . as long as we have addition.
P.S. If you read all of that: congrats, and thank you. But, I wanted to add (no pun intended) that this image has an underlying message about mathematical illiteracy.
P.P.S. Probably not that any of you all (or y'all) care, but in the final image the "on" stamp is removed to remove some familiarity with the key pad.
