The infamous Hairpin Turn at Sebring 1964

The Hairpin Turn at Sebring in 1964 was a popular place for photographers because you could get up close and personal with the cars and there was usually plenty of action. This is early in the race and Ken Miles in his Cobra is leading the pack through the turn while the factory Ferrari (#31) 250 GTO of Carlo Mario Abate and Jean Guichet and the NART Ferrari 250 GTO LMB of Bob Grossman and Dick Thompson try to overtake the Cobra. Only the #29 Ferrari finished and in 15th position. The Henry Ford/Friedman photo.
