Two spins and a terrible crash at Sebring 1959
The place is Sebring 1959 and during a big rain storm three cars spin and one crashes. The first car to hydroplane and spin is a red Osca S950 driven by the legendary Ricardo Rodriguez. His car finished 47th. The second car to do a couple of 360's is a Porsche 718 RSK driven by Bob Holbert. He finished 4th and 1st in class. The third car to spin and crash heavily against the bridge support is the #66 Stranguellini Sport Bialbero 750 of Robert Roloson. Notice how high up the car goes when it crashes and flips over. This might be hard to believe but the driver walked away without any serious injuries. Needless to say the car did not finish. The car owner, Sandy MacArthur, sold the wreck for $100. The drive train, engine, gear box and rear axle went into a Crossley Special.
