    Description: This photograph depicts the up ''Fleche d'Or, '' Golden Arrow, coming into the Paris Nord station not long after the service started. The train was number 78 for many years. The engine of the first series (a Breville Pacific) has not yet received smoke deflectors and still is running with an ''armistice'' tender. Source: Collyns, Adrian H. Northern Steam Vapeurs du Nord.
