Tin Foil Gourmet
This weekend was the much anticipated 2nd annual Sandwich Seafood Extravaganza™ held in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. 10 of us (6 New York residents and 4 Bostonians) descended on the Shawmee-Crowell State Park for a showcase exclusively of fresh seafood and organic vegetables cooked over an open fire. The delectable menu included: Shrimp Cocktail, Lobsters with Garlic Butter, Sea Scallops, Corn on the Cob, Couscous, Vegetable Medley (Broccoli, Summer Squash, Onions, Garlic, Purple Basil), and Peaches & Plums. The meal was accompanied by the Yankees vs. Red Sox baseball game broadcast on an itouch and speakers. Yes, we roughed it. Outnumbered 9-to1, the one fan of the Bronx Bombers in attendance was victorious but in the end we were all winners.
