Robert Treboux passed away this week. He owned and operated a restaurant with his daughter in NYC called Le Veau d'Or. I had the pleasure to meet him on a few occasions once for a photo shoot for Eater.com and another time his daughter hired me to do some photos privately because they were given a James Beard award. He was so hospitable and fun to be around when I was there (his daughter was also extremely sweet). There's something so magical and nostalgic about a restaurant like that you just feel like you're walking into a place that hasn't changed in 50 years.. I'm glad I was able to take some photos with this man.
