But a blurry picture. Oh, and remind me to tell you the story of my friend pulling the tin of madeleines out of my bag to offer one to Parker Posey last night, who was cool as shit, and not just because she told me I was going to be the next Martha Stewart. Hmph. There was a bit of wine involved, so that might be all we're going to get of that story.

Okay, but I already told you most of what I remember. ;)

A friend of mine was doing a dance performance last night at the Jonathan Shorr Gallery in SoHo, and from what I understood, Parker Posey is a friend of the owner's and had flown in to surprise her. Not surprisingly (because the wine hadn't run out yet) my group was the last to go, and we ended up speaking with her for a while out on the sidewalk with our plastic wine sippy cups in hand. She was completely nice and unpretentious, then wrote down the address of the party we were going to but, alas did not make it (or not before we sleepily departed at 1:30 a.m.).

Close encounters with the celebrity kind, non? It's funny, despite following Pink is the New blog, I actually have no interest whatsoever in gabbing with celebs, it just doesn't excite me. But she was totally sweet and cool in a way that Zach Braff (who'd we ended up crammed in a mess with at the Mermaid Parade last weekend) was not.
