toasted hazelnuts

After this photo, I decided I was tired of the 35mm I'd rented and returned to my 50mm. This has NEVER happened. I love rental lenses! Something new and shiny that doesn't require much financial commitment! And the 35 1.4 is a great one. But I do love my 50.

is that the one with a hefty price tag?? i have been wanting that for awhile. but the price - eek.

It's a hefty one, because it's an L-series. I'm not sure if there's an equivalent non-pro version of it, but there likely is. I've been convinced for some time that I'd like an indoor-optimized wide angle and this is definitely the best I've tried out, but I just wasn't feeling it. I guess me and my 50 aren't tired of each other yet.

(P.S. I owe you email. I am sorry.)

No worries on the email. I'm SO behind on things myself. It's all good :) Hope you had a good, relaxing vacation. I'm about to go on one myself.
