the socks are made for walking

Dear Flickr, it is excruciatingly lame that you cut off videos of paying members at 1 minute 30 seconds, depriving the people of their 9 seconds of Jacob face-smooshing the camera.

barturtle03, gatalinkica, and 3 other people added this video to their favorites.

Aaaah! That tummy, those curls and that delicious face! My little bit of heaven is 2.5 yrs old and I am totally with you on the food stuff. The number of things he rejects is scary :-)

Deb, you own your own domain and website. Host your own videos of any length you wish!

So impressed with the music/video coordination!

Financially, $25/year versus significantly increasing (as my site is media-heavy) the already substantial amount I pay for hosting makes business sense. What is lame is that Facebook can host all of this stuff, and videos of most lengths for free, but Yahoo can't work it out for paying members. That said, yes, in the long term I will move our image hosting to a more robust place for it.

    You are owed face-smooshing!

oh, my baby eats everything, including the couch, EXCEPT when he's getting teeth. So maybe there's one on the way in...

Love it! Our LO is walking too. We say that some of the stumbles look like a 20ish year old drunken boy and some looks like a 90 year old man who forgot his cane.

Might could be! Eyeteeth are next, but seem nowhere close. Drooling like mad and hands always in mouth, though. Also, not sleeping, coughing and got his mama sick. Good thing he's cute!

He is SO cute - loved the backward walking!

Ok, that's just hilarious. I love the three fingers in the mouth, nonchalant, "Yeah, I walk now" vibe he's putting out. :D

Wow. Love how much he appears to be concentrating with each pause... the backwards walking was him literally learning how to use muscles. Super cool! Thanks for the adorable video :) He's definitely a keeper ;)

HAHAHA, loved it. The past will seem like perfect peace in retrospect, now that he is walking. I so miss the days when my daughter was the size of a loaf of bread, and just as (im)mobile.

oh he's such a little cutie! you need another one to satisfy my constant, never-ending, always nagging baby urge. ;-)

Oh. my. God! He's so freaking adorable! And I really - REALLY have to send you a picture of MY Jakob. Because these two are scarily looking alike. When Jakob started walking for the first time in the end of October I teared up, for the first time ever. That happens when you know that #3 will be the last 'Knutschkugel' you gave birth to.

    Must have face smooshing!
And yes I agree, the 'well -yeah- I can walk now' vibe is awesome.
I used to be so proud my kid (age 6 months to a year) would eat anything and now (3 yrs old) she refuses most all food unless it is popcorn or, as she would say, "chicken-na-na-na-nuuuuuugetts!". So I feel your anguish Deb, making kick-assed food that you'd think they'd go bonkers over but alas, no.
Speaking of bonkers, OMG THOSE CURLS!!!!!!
Heartfelt holiday blessings and much gratitude for what you do. Awaiting Smitten Cookbook Goodness!

This is awesome. My niece just started walking, too, and I can't stop watching the video of her. I love the way babies wobble around during those first steps, looking so proud of themselves! Go Jacob!
