      What kind of material is this and the black one?

      They are from Epicurean. I used pretty wooden cutting boards for years (these are a wood blend, I think) and loved them, but they absorbed onion/garlic smells like crazy and nothing I tried got it out. When I was pregnant, I got super-sensitive to smells and kinda went nuts, threw them all away. Bought these instead. Love that I can just throw them in the dishwasher, I've got them in multiple sizes. I use real wood ones now just for non-stinky stuff.
