6 weeks, meet 30 weeks. It's not scary until you see the side view. I have no doubt that if this dress could talk it would be all "eehhhhh, why me?" My take? "If it zips, it fits!"

 

Btw, this is totally about mistaken pregnancy assumptions, that is, when I bought this dress in January, I already knew I was knocked up but I was convinced that all of the belly pleating and the high waist would at least get me through a few months of wear. What I didn't know is that it is actually possible to carry so freakin high, it's like the baby kicks you in the chin some days, thus the extra space is all the wrong shape and location. Amusingly, the further I get along, the more I try to wear pre-pregnancy clothes, because I'm tired of the dumpy nature of stuff cut for people who look like they've swallowed basketballs.
