crackly top

Cream Cheese Pound Cake + Strawberry Coulis on smittenkitchen.com

I wanted to show you this crumbly crackly top, which was deliciously awesome. The cake is intended for a tube pan but I thought that would be dull, at least on the top. I used a bundt and ended up thinking that the part that got hidden was really cool-looking. So basically, either work. But I bet that crumbly top would be stunning dusted with powdered sugar.

My cake came out exactly as this. I also ended up baking mine for a much longer time as I did mine in a sunflower shaped pan. I also think my oven might not have been hot enough and turned on convection bake for the last 15 minutes. Can't wait to dust with powdered sugar and take some photos before I bring it to the party tonight.
