    I've been trying variations of white bean stew - is this the Gourmet one? I tried it but wish I'd actually sauteed the ham chunks with the onion instead of adding already-sauteed ham to the stew. I'll be interested to see your opinion of it!

    Actually, I found it a little dull, did you? It needed some smoky spicy paprika or red pepper flakes or less stock or or or, well something.

    I bet a little less stock might have helped. The joy of 'pot likker' is exactly related to its level of concentration. Regardless, I think it looks amazing. I need to make an order from Steve soon. Then man sure knows his beans!

    White beans... Man, I could eat these every day. I've been meaning to soak my limas to make a similar dish with it. I make it vegetarian as for some odd reason, while i love all things pork-related, I can't stand ham. Where does one get the rancho gordo beans? They look awesome!

    Well, the taste may not have been where you hoped it would be, but it certainly looks gorgeous!
