Julie told us we could only eat the ice cream, although sold elsewhere on Ile Saint-Louis, at the shop. They were out of the highly-sought-after marron glacee flavor they sell only in the winter, so we split a tiny cone of salted butter caramel icecream, a flavor I will remember and desperately try to replicate for the rest of my life.
