Stuffed baby penguin in Bremenhaven marine research institute. I'm pretty baffled on how popular this photo is and bet many users dont read these descriptions and thus wont realize the bird in the picture is NOT ALIVE but stuffed and standing in an institute lobby in Germany! Or maybe people just like stuffed penguins particularly. ;-D

The licence is cc-by-sa (sa meaning "share alike" ), so yes on my part, if you just credit the photographer (me, Sini Merikallio, or Flickr/smerikal, and provide the link to this picture page in electronic content) and understand that your commercial also inherits the same licence (meaning that if you make some fancy graphics or texts on it, anybody can use them under the same licence - so you cannot make any "all rights reserved" stuff with this, but all further work must also be under cc-by-sa!).

But also take note that Bremenhaven marine research institute, where this picture is taken, might have a say in its commercial use. I don't know the german laws or the Institutes take on them, and the responsibility of digging out this information and acting accordingly falls on you.

If you end up using this picture, please send the add to me (either in a comment here, or you can also mail it ). You don't have to, but that would be highly appreciated - thanks! :-)
