Come On In

21 July 2008; Manseau's Mill.

In 1859, Antoine Manseau, Sr. built a water powered mill. In 1856 he had purchased an acre of land from a Chief named Keywatosa. The last incarnation of the mill still stands on Belanger Creek in Leelanau County. In 1906, Eugene Belanger purchased the mill and operated it until 1934. The lack of grain raised in the county caused the closure.
