Toronto Skyline #3

5:39am | Sunday March 5, 2006 5:46am | 5:59am

I kept going at this spot for quite some time until I was satisfied with the results that I had achieved. Seeing as I was here the entire morning, I had many opportunities to experiment with the exposure time. This one, a full 337.4 seconds worth, blew away a little bit of the lights as you can see, but still managed to get the incoming colours of the sunlight. The slight orange-red hue above the horizon is due to the sun coming up in the morning.

If you look closely, you'll be able to see the geese sleeping on the ice on the left hand side. They were quite loud that morning as they cried their sounds as I shuffled in the grass while taking these photos. There were a number of them swimming along the waters in front of me as well, although they are no longer visible in this photo because of the long exposure.
