my first authentic singapore breakfast

half raw eggs, kaya toast (not shown here) and coffee.


the staff there was so friendly and sweet they kept coming over and showed us how to eat it properly. the eggs are very jiggly and we're suppose to mix it with pepper and soy sauce. the result is SENSATIONAL!!! i was so content and satisfied with the breakfast that all i could do was sit there and smile. =)

    Beautiful photo! It sounds interesting. I am not sure how I feel about eating raw eggs... How was the texture?

    essie: yea u have to try it one day! too bad it'll be hard to replicate at home since i read from somewhere saying there's some special technique to keep the eggs only at 30% cooked to give their jiggly consistency.

    tricsr4kidz: the texture was incredibly smooth (some might think slimey, but i think goooood!). but yeah, raw eggs is quite the problem actually, i was very skeptical at first too....

    I think that this is about the degree of "cooked" that I do eggs for a Caesar Salad....and I think almost anything tastes better with soy sauce! :-)
