Oof... time to drill, or dremel out a slot to turn them into flat-head screws... Or JB-weld a smaller allen key in (now I'm just making stuff up, but it COULD work).

Whenever I change cleat bolts now, I spend quite a while cleaning out the bolt head with a small screwdriver and then make damn sure the allen key is in nice and tight (and not a ball-head key) before trying to undo it. Still, shit sometimes happens.

Side note: I also swapped my shoe shields from left to right, hopefully counteracting the angled wear pattern that the springbars had worn into the metal of the shields. We'll see!

I always underestimate how worn out my cleats are until I look at a new set. What I don't underestimate is how quickly they wear out.

Okay, so these cleats may have walked around on the bottom of the Yuba/Downie Rivers. I can neither deny nor deny that.
