Fuji GA645zi, Reala100
Although I've been making a bit of cash from my photography for almost two years now, I scraped along with less than professional equipment while I was studying my MA, shooting with an end-of-line DSLR, Soviet medium format cameras etc.
Now, after earning a decent salary again for the last four months (not photography work, sadly) I've finally got enough cash saved to upgrade my equipment. Ok, so if I'd waited another few months, I might've been able to buy a 5DII and Mamiya 7ii, but nonetheless, a Canon 7D and used Fuji 645 "point-and-shoot" medium format rangefinder is still good professional kit, and will inspire me to get out and shoot now, rather than later.
It's nice to finally be able to shoot without feeling like I'm wasting my time because the filesizes are too small to be accepted by agencies, or because good shots won't look as good printed in a book, or on a wall.
