Hope at the End

Looking down the Hope Valley from Surprise View above Hathersage, Peak District.

Shot a around a hundred picture with various combinations of ND Grad filters/aperture/shutter speed/metering and this was the best of the lot.

No post-editing beyond rotating and cropping.

EDIT (28/07/2009) : For anyone who thinks this is too dark I've just calibrated my monitor using the Pantone huey monitor colour correction tool using the free ArgyllCMS (since I run Linux on my computers and therefore can't use the default software) and it looks a lot more balanced. Well worth using this sort of tool if you're going to be printing stuff out (although I probably won't, but have borrowed the USB device from a friend so didn't have to fork out for one :-).
