Rambutan (BC32)

Rambutan is a popular tropical fruit in Penang and Malaysia. The name Rambutan in Malay which literally means hairy caused by the 'hair' that covers this fruit. The firm flesh of the fruit is translucent, whitish or very pale pink. It has a sweet, slightly acidic flavor. The Rambutan fruit is rich in nutritional value. Eating five fruits in a day can seriouly decrease the chance of cancer. It is also very effective in lowering blood pressure.
