IC 1396

Some old narrowband data from last year reprocessed.

I felt a little guilty as I let a clear spell of several nights pass by without attempting any imaging, and now it's cloudy again for the foreseeable future. So I had a play with some old images to make up for it all.

Imaged with the Orion ED80T CF, Atik 314l+ and Processed in Pixinsight / CS5.

Excellent John. I shouldn't look at images like this as it makes my efforts look very sad ;)

You had several clear nights and went to bed without imaging?! Shame on you! We only get half a dozen a year! Go and stand in the naughty corner! ;)

Doug German BudgetAstro.net I have just returned from sitting on the bottom step of the stairs for my crimes :)

Don't be too critical of your images Doug, you've been on telly more times over the last year than the royal family!!!

    LOL! Not quite!
I'm looking at modding my EQ5 to give me some guiding capability of sorts. If I get it up and running (big if) I'll have another crack at this with longer subs. That should make a difference. I couldn't bear to look at the two images I had of this in my photostream so I deleted them, through clenched teeth ;)

I am in awe of your entire photostream, but found this image especially beautiful. I hope you don't mind that I added you as a contact so I can watch as you add new pix.

Jenny NicLaubhrin Not at all, thanks for looking, I'm very pleased you enjoy my images.
