Possible Leak at Platform 23051, Gulf of Mexico

Sequence of satellite images April 25, 2010 - May 18, 2010 showing what appears to be a small persistent leak from an offshore oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico. Platform #23051 is located a few miles southeast of South Pass, one of the main outlet channels of the Mississippi River.

Oil from the nearby Deepwater Horizon oil spill is also apparent on the images in this sequence, but it appears there is a persistent small oily slick emanating from this platform that may indicate a chronic problem.

The images in this sequence were collected from a variety of satellites. MERIS (color image at top left) is a visible-near infrared sensor; the others are radar systems.

If BP won't let James Cameron's private fleet of Unmanned Submersibles help them, why doesn't someone call him up and have him go check this out? This really needs some further investigation. Frankly, I'm surprised no press has picked this up yet.
