Trichrome Checkers - Harris Shutter Effect
This is a reprocessed version of a shot I poseted a while back...
Three Black and white shots, each through a red, green or blue gel. Shots stacked in Photoshop, colorized per their gel, set on transparent layers and Bob's your uncle. :-) There are only 8 checkers in any given shot, even though the photo shows fourteen. I just moved the outer checkers for each shot as follows:
I arranged B&W checkers on W&B backgrounds, left the center ones in place, and removed/replaced the outer ones for each of the three exposures. The checkers were left in place for the following filters, clockwise from the top: Red, Red & Green, Green, Green & Blue, Blue & Blue & Red. Google "Harris Shutter Effect for more info, Flickr search for more examples.
