Wheel of Fortune
First of all I would like to thank my flickr friend Rod Orrell who invited me to brighton and Hove camera club on Tuesday as his guest, had a fantastic time and met some really nice like minded people so thanks for that.
Wednesday me and a couple of friends Jamie Allen and Andrew Brown went to London for the day to get some day and night pictures.
I wanted to go to the London Eye and use my B+W ND110 filter to create a long exposure and capture the wheel spinning during the day to add some originality.
This is an exposure of a whopping 91 seconds thanks to the filter and increasing the aperture to f/29 and reducing the iso to 100.
My camera was on my manfrotto tripod with my 496 rc2 ball head and a cable release to fire the shutter.
Ive had this picture in my head for a while and am really pleased with the results as the thames has smoothed out nicely and caught the motion of the wheel.
I converted to mono then done the usual levels, curves and some dodging and burning with a little unsharp mask thrown in at the end.
I hope you like this picture as much as I enjoyed taking it.
On the day I must have taken around 300 pictures so will post more soon ranging from day to night all along the bank of the thames.
Please check out my friends streams who I have mentioned and added them on the right.
Thanks for all your comments, votes and views I will stop by your streams soon :)
