CubeDude - Dreamfinder and Figment
“One little spark of inspiration, is at the heart of all creation! Right at the start of everything that’s new – one little spark lights up for you.
Two tiny wings, eyes big and yellow, horns of a steer, but a lovable fellow – from head to tail, he’s royal purple pigment, and there, voila! You’ve got a Figment!
Mix red and gold, from autumn flowers; purple and blue, from twilight hours. Green summer hills and rainbows play a part – a painter’s brush, a work of art!
One chilling word, like “shriek” or “killer” can spark the mind to start a thriller; add some more sparks like “dagger”, “blood” and “gory”, and then - a mystery story!
Some happy songs, some snappy dances, costumes and sets, spooks and romances! With flashing tiers and footlights all a-glow, sparks ignite a brand new show!”
The Dreamfinder and Figment are my all-time favorite Disney duo, from the original Journey into Imagination at EPCOT Center. After a 1999 refurb, Figment was eliminated from the attraction, replaced only by Eric Idle as “Dr. Nigel Channing.” But after a lot of complaining from Disney guests, Figment was reintroduced to the attraction. Although, in my opinion, his personality seems to have changed a bit… before he was playfully curious; but now as Eric Idle’s foil, he’s gotten really… disobedient? If you’ve been on the attraction, you know what I mean…
