"The Woman Who Got Shocked by a Cover at a News Stand"

I could try a guess... but then again... what headline ISN'T shocking these days!? :-P

 

As a journalist myself, I'm getting more and more scared of how the profession seems to get out of hand lately... Just an example: "EL PAÍS" (Spain's most prestigious and most read newspaper in Spanish worldwide) included the following headline the other day on their website edition: "10% of the gays have AIDS". Not "of the gay population in Spain" (which the article later revealed), but "of the gays", generalizing, and almost with sort of an offensive subtext there in the wording. Totally unworthy of such institution of journalism...
