me and d60

Time for my NikonD60 Review (by popular demand):

I have never had an SLR before. I have one lens at the moment and no tripod. I don’t like carrying around too much extra weight with me… And this camera is perfect for me!

It lets me capture perfect moments without me having to press 5 million buttons, setting up tripods or changing lenses.

The camera also has great editing features on it… so if you don’t have Photoshop you can fix up your photos without taking them off the camera! I haven’t read much… or any… of the manual yet. It’s on my list though! I feel like when I do, I will be able to do so much more with the camera.

Some small problems:

1- It only has 3 focus square things (?)… and at first it’s a little hard to control which one it focuses on, but I did get the hang of it after a while. The auto focus is perfect otherwise though! I have only used the manual focus for certain macro shots. Otherwise the auto is just perfect.

2- When I turn off the flash in one mode (ex. Macro) and then I change the mode (ex. Landscape) the flash turns back on… it doesn’t stay off. This isn’t necessarily a problem, just a bit of a nuisance when I’m walking in the park on a slightly dark day…

Conclusion: Highly recommend it for anyone like me who just wants a camera that lets them not think about their camera but about the thing they’re photographing. If you’re looking at this for professional purposes… you should find a better source than me!
