Patterdale Parish Boundary Walk 2010
For the second year running we walked the long (30-ish miles) and mountainous (10,000 feet of ascent) parish boundary of Patterdale in the Lake District. This annual event is in aid of the local church and school (more info on their website and, if you're feeling generous, our sponsorship page).

This year we were joined by Mike Parsons and Andrew Darby, two people we met stomping around the bounds in 2009, to make up a team going by the name of "Still Stephen's Fault"*.

Apart from some strong winds, the weather was better than last year with high cloud and sun giving plenty of photo opportunities.

SSF made it round in 12 hours 35 minutes (a whole 10 minutes quicker than last year). Here are the photos of our walk. And if you're impressed, there's always the sponsorship page (plug, plug).

*Stephen Gorton co-founded the charity walk nearly 20 years ago and ever since Joanna met him and his niece Anna trekking in New Zealand in 2002 has been asking us to do the walk. So it really is all Stephen's fault (still).
