Also known as the cobra plant. The thin, transparent membrane creates a warm space inside the plant. As the flies buzz around in there they get confused and eventually fall into the digestive juices.

 

Slightly more complicated than a pitcher plant, it is found in a few sloughs along the central and southern Oregon coast. I am especially fond of their evil little moustaches.
