Single Girl quilt top almost done.

    Newer Older

I just have to add the borders.
I used 8 colors total for the rings ( I was too lazy to go through my stash), 2 different text prints for the background (to make it a bit interesting) and I'm using this floral print for the border (3" finished- to make it girly).

Big thanks to Megan, Katy and Nova for setting up the SG Support group and for giving us the much needed push (and plenty of hand holding along the way) to make this quilt. Seriously wouldn't have done it without you guys! <3

Thank you so much everyone for your lovely comments!
I started with a pile of 36 prints and I imagined it would be a mind boggling task to keep track of during the cutting and piecing. So I made it simple.
That would be a resounding NO!
I didn't want to deall with bulky seams.
Thanks! I'm betting your sawtooth stars quilt is fantastic! Can't wait to see it!
Aww, thanks! That's because my tutors are fabulously talented. ;D

Thank you all! I happy with the way this quilt turned out.

Thanks! It was 3 or 4 in the morning trying to finish sewing all the blocks together. I wasn't about to stay up later than that only to un-pick stitches. So I sewed 1/4 " seams instead of the suggested 1/2" seams.

Anyhoo, I miss seeing your crafty/quilty/newly found vintage outfits/dolly photos . I hope everything is ok with you.

yeah :( I'm just not used to working 40 hours a week & it's really demanding work. I'm totally drained. plus there's that cycle of too tired to do hobbies > all work and no play makes work even more exhausting....but keeping up on you lovely flickr people helps!

I know how you feel. For some reason though, stress from work seems to melt away the minute I'm sewing or working on something crafty. I hope you'll find your balance someday soon. :)
