Half Dome Olmstead Point Yosemite

It's been a while since I've shot an iconic view of Half Dome.

I blame it on Yosemite rush hour traffic. There was a mom shooting her kids and I knew she was going to ask me to take a photo of all of them, I said yes of course. I heard her initial reaction, wow, then awe my daughter made a poopie face! I pretended as if I didn't hear it and was laughing on the inside, I think I enjoyed shooting portraits just as much as landscapes.

Single exposure, polarizer and Singh Ray 2 stop soft grad filter.

By the way I created a new photography group here on Flickr

• You never see the same thing twice! Except Halley's comet if you're lucky.

• Always keep a master file before adding blur, glow, orton, type of techniques.

• Don't let your viewfinder or lcd limit how you see! We don't walk around in 2x3 vision.
