Los Osos Valley & Central Coast
The Sun is Good
Get direct sunlight on your body every day if you can! That foggy overcastness only goes up so high you know.
I was thumbing threw my hard drive and was happy to find an image that didn't need much photoshop (my eyeballs have been sore from processing lately). I used a couple of ND grad filters on this one and luckily enough light landed on the histogram where needed. In RAW the saturation was pushed and I spiked the highlights in a curves adjustment layer, both were done globally. The sun was a little blown out so that was in need of some touch up.
You can under expose part of a scene for color but it doesn't help the shadow detail and noise.
