PC047694g fertility amulet, abstract figure from iron & cotton fibre. Matakam people, Northern Cameroon

Interesting little fertility figure sculpted in abstract form from Hand forged iron and cotton with cotton hand spun thread From the Matakam people in northern Cameroon. This figure is adorned with old colonial west african coins and brass beads.

The structure is supported by a hand forged frame made by the village blacksmith.

Circa late 20th century

Measures 23 x 9 x 11 cm
