Micro Prometheus - Landing on LV-223

Newer Older

The scientific vessel Prometheus lands on a distant moon LV-223.

I saw Prometheus before BrickWorld - I was really hoping someone built a big one...
No one did... so I decided to take a break from Brickworld post-Damage inspection to build my own!

As well I needed to build one for the to the "Mi-Fi" microscale LEGO contest:

(I also chose this because Halfbeak built every good sci-fi movie prior to 2012 :P )

Thanks everyone! I'm glad you liked it :)

Go see it. It's definitely worth seeing, and awesome in 3D.

I did consider it, but to be scaled properly to the ship, I decided to pass... for now.

Well I can't really take credit for the colour scheme... but yes it worked really well IMHO. Just a tad of yellow.

Exactly. Solid movie which had unfair expectations.

Finally found a movie you didn't do :P

    ... it wasn't that scary :P

    You should still build it!

Did you follow instructions or did you do it all from your mind? this is beautifully crafted!

I looked at reference pictures from the trailer (at the time) and basically tried to make it as close as possible in the small micro scale.
I could probably do it even better now that the movie is out on bluray.
