you have some amazing shots in your photo stream, this one as well is great, but it seems underexposed, even if that was intentional... it might be too much...

  • Fadzly Mubin 5y

Thank you very much for taking the time Zach. I actually agree on your point about the underexposure. I took a few shots that day, there are other shots which is much brighter but due to the high dynamic range that the scene has to offer the choice I has to take was either underexposing the shadowed area or overexposing the water splash so I chose to keep the proper exposure on the splash.

i like the right side, not so much the left...

The sky seems a bit noisy for iso200. Did you need to brighten the shot up after? perhaps it was needed so you didn't blow out the highlights, which is nice, and the tones *are* beautiful. lovely colour. to really hold attention it could do with something else to focuvs on though. If the wave was interacting with someone or something (or even something behind the wave such as a boat or ship could work) then it would really give the photo a whole load of extra appeal. :)

beautiful shot, no doubts! some exposure issues, questionable frame, too much tags :)

On my monitor (admittedly uncalibrated,) looks underexposed. And, the White Balance looks off. Regardless, I don't see a lot to love.

I don't get this photo. So many positive comments. Why?
It's underexposed, the color balance is way off. Composition is just ok.
The "best in Malaysia"? Well that site has over a 1000 photos, many are really good - but not this one. Plus there is nothing specifically Malaysian about this photo - could have been taken anywhere between Patagonia and Hokkaido.

  • Fadzly Mubin 5y

Thanks daniel, yes the light that was was great but would have look much nicer on a better sensor than the one on the D50
