Day 144 - Estuary Sky

    Prev Next

We had some pretty dramatic sky in North Co. Dublin today. So I dusted off my Sigma 15-30mm and took a quick trip to Swords estuary to capture a big sky image. I really like the look of this photo in back and white, I think it brings out the cloud structure and adds more drama to the scene.

    Shot details :- ISO 400, 15mm, 0.33 ev, f/3.5, 1/8000

Crazy settings I know! That's what happens when you don't check your camera settings before you start shooting kids!

Great shot - I love the POV and the sky. I had one of those odd settings recently as well - ISO 800 for a sunny day.

Michael TO Yeah its a really killer if you shooting on Aperture or Shutter priority. Modern cameras are so flexible they'll just compensate and you wont even notice that you've got some crazy ISO setting or exposure compensation dialed in. I got lucky this time as ISO 400 isn't that bad. Thank GOD for RAW!
