I could feel his emotion as the canoe slipped through the warm brown water. I knew he was happy to be there, and that he was wishing (nay, pretending) that he had joined the ranks of the great adventurers.
The Amazon has a way of making you feel a whole new sense of being alive. That is, IF, you allow it to enter your soul.
Some of us did just that; we entered in to the experience. Some of us remained observers only. So sad.
But for those of us who entered in, like this young man, the Amazon was spellbinding.
