Details: William Easterby Shaw (1887-1915), born 22 July 1887, son of Henry Robert Shaw and Isabel Mary Shaw, of 6, Granville Road, Eastbourne, formerly of 82 Vanburgh Park, Blackheath. Born at Blackheath, London.


Attended St Christopher's preparatory school, Eastbourne.


Attended Sherborne School (Abbeylands) January 1902-July 1907; 1st XV rugby football team 1904, 1905, 1906; shooting viii team 1906, 1907.


Lieutenant in the King's Shropshire Light Infantry in 1909.

WW1, Lieutenant in the King's Shropshire Light Infantry, 2nd Bn. Died on 18 May 1915 of wounds received in France on 15 March 1915.
